South Carolina Data Security Act (S.C. Code § 39-1-90) & Insurance Data Security Act

South Carolina has a general breach notification law plus a separate Insurance Data Security Act targeting insurance companies — one of only a handful of states with sector-specific insurance data protections. Notification is required within 60 days.
